Centre Island Memories & CN Tower background...

Sunburn!!!! Fun time!!! What else? Oh send the wrong party to the wrong side of island... well it was a big "party" -- so they walked half of island and came back safe... thanks God!!! but poor Amos who had to walk so much... well at least he can bike and enjoy the weather now!!!

Praise the Lord for a wonderful time and yeah thanks for the parents (Lydia, Sophia and Mindy) and youth leaders (Sandy & Brian) for organizing this trip. Some hiccups but see how things usually turn out the best as long as we pray and ask God to sponsor the event.

Teammates... Keep on smiling, keep on shining, keep on praying for one another and keep on drawing closer to Christ!

God bless you!

2007 NYMAC Satellites - Softball Ministry

The 2007 softball ministry has began in earnest for the past 2 months. The team practiced for the entire month of May & June now. They are getting better by the day. The importance is the changes that are taking place. This year's theme is "BE TRANSFORMED" taken from Romans 12:2 - "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." - The message clearly says "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind" - as a team game - I see a lot of good team spirited encouragement & work!!! Softball is a team sport... a game that challenges the body but also the mind. We see a lot of transformation... here is the video of NYMAC's Satellites Softball Team.

Theology is for everyone - Dr. James Innell Packer

Thursday June 7, 2007 - Dr. J.I. Packer was honored at Tyndale Seminary School by Dr. Dennis Ngien's Centre for Mentorship and Theological Reflection. This was a very touching seminar. Dr. Packer talked about evangelicalism - present and future. He also shared his testimony - on how he was called to be a pastor. Talks about surprises in his life and how he decided to take up a position at Regent's College in Vancouver. It was very moving.

On Saturday, I have the opportunity to meet up with J.I. Packer again on his "Theology for everyone" seminar. He autographed the "Concise Theology" book he wrote. :)

Jesus first
Others second
You are last

That's the JOY of being a Christian. A true Christian believes in the Trinity of God the Almighty, Jesus Christ our savior who died on cross for our sins and the Holy Spirit.

Christ centered... J.O.Y everyday!

A Greek Vacation

I am submerging in Greek!!! Learning Greek is fun and pleasurable. Not an easy language to learn nor the easiest. This summer I am auditing a class in Elementary Greek New Testament, to be more precise it is actually New Testament Elementary Koine Greek. Koine Greek or "common Greek" refers to the Greek language that emerged in the post classical antiquity (c.300BC-AD 300) spread during the conquest of Alexander the Great! I am learning keywords from the Greek biblical version of the new testament. It is not easy nor simple. I have not been back to School for the past 10 years and it is taking a toll on me. However, it excites me enormously and it makes me focus because it is God's Word in another language. It enriches me as I am learning a few words for now but hopefully I will amass a few hundred word to be able to understand basic Greek. και Θεός ην ό λογος - "and the Word was God"
