The week started with a cold chill and rain... yet while driving to the Galleria Korean Supermarket I noticed that the Centrepoint mall's parking lot was building a Ferris wheel. Then I stopped by and asked the workers when the mini fair will open the door officially. They would open the door on Sept. 27, 2006 until the coming weekend.
I like to ride Ferris wheels... you see Ferris wheels always remind me of a famous RPI alumni (Renssealer Polytechnic Institute). Mr. George Ferris graduated in 1881 with a civil engineering degree and built the first Ferris wheel back in 1893 @ the
World Columbian Fair in Chicago.

The other ride in mini fair is the merry go round. It is just fun to ride around in circle and go nuts. The faster the better. However it is the light at night and the accompanying music that make them fun to ride... not only for children but for adults. It brings back great memories of childhood mini fair rides for me in Taipei, Taiwan.
